Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility/production equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.
All work will be done in compliance with EPA, OSHA, and other safety rules and regulations.
Essential Functions:
Install and troubleshoot electrical motors, motor controls, up to 480V systems, compressors
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Read and understand electrical and other mechanical diagrams.
Run conduit and troubleshoot network cable (CAT 5).
Operate aerial lifts (scissor lift, boom lift).
Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.
Log and track inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Diagnose production equipment problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.
g.
landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.
).
Upon completion of work, enters appropriate information onto worksheet for submission and filing and/or enters into MRP system for filing and tracking.
Inspect and repair equipment and facilities as needed (plumbing and HVAC skills a plus).
Job Related Functions:
Coaches and trains production personnel as able on maintenance related topics.
Assures the safety of facility employees through compliance with all state and federal OSHA and EPA laws and regulations.
Responsible for Kaizen and 5S of the plant in general.
Educational Requirements:
3-5 years of multi-skilled industrial experience in maintenance.
Skilled in electrical and mechanical repairs, hydraulics/pneumatics, PLC controls (preferred), and equipment layout and installation.
