Requirements

Competencies
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• No previous experience is required.
• Physically fit individual who can lift 35+ lbs.
• Are familiar with the safe and efficient use of hand tools as well as small power tools.
• General labor or physically demanding job experience is an asset.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
• Adhere to and support the safe operating procedures for all assigned duties.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, eye protection, OSHA approved footwear and other safety equipment as required by Management.
• Report any safety concerns immediately to Supervisors or Plant Manager.
• Comply with applicable OSHA guidance and laws.
Continuous Improvements
• Improve technical proficiency by participating in training and development activities.
• Participate with team members in continuous improvement projects and suggestions.

Working Conditions
• Manufacturing setting that is subject to temperature differences.
• Hazards that might be found within the workplace include equipment/machinery with electricity, moving parts, hot solutions, inadequate ventilation, or other substances, lifting, pinching, cuts, repetitive motions, noxious fumes, sharpened instruments, or tools, toxic or corrosive substances.
Physical Demands / Efforts
• A variety of power tools may be used on a regular basis such as pallet and hand jacks, stripping tools, pry bars, manual lift devices, hand tools, etc.
• Physical Effort measures the physical demand or energy needed to do your job.
Physical demand refers to energy requirements.
Some examples are standing, walking, working in an awkward position, lifting objects, or holding the body in one position for prolonged periods of time.
• Physical activity includes bending or reaching to do minor lifting for typically more than 2 hours per shift.
• Hearing protection will be required as needed.
