Melt Team Member - 2nd and 3rd Shifts

*Position Summary:* This position is responsible for overseeing the melting process and inspections of the furnaces.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* · Inspect functionality of crane systems · Accept raw materials and fill up charging boxes and aggregate bunker · Replace deslagging containers when empty · Follow a work plan communicated at the start of shift to meet and or exceed production goals · Ability to help in the elimination of production and material bottlenecks, suggest improvements · Ability to make on-site decisions autonomously; avoiding disturbances in the internal/external production process · Notify team lead in the event of defects · Continuously monitor the holding process during production and carry out inspection of the adjusted production parameters; ex.
temperature measurements, water inspection, etc.
· Ability to perform corrective action in the event of deviations · Operate iron output, hydraulic, and tilting devices · Perform all arising work with the furnaces that is required for the assurance of the production process · Assure 100% compliance with safety regulations within the department · All other duties as assigned *Education and/or Experience:* · High School Diploma or GED required · 1-2 years of experience in melting and/or foundry *Additional Skills:* · Ability to use or willingness to be trained using forklifts, cranes, etc.
· Ability to work in team based environment · Very high level of attention to detail · Must be self-motivated and able to make quick and safe decisions · Ability to transfer knowledge and train other team members *Physical Requirements:* · Must be able to push and pull deslagging tool with 50+ lbs.
