We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Assessor.
*Job Overview:* As an Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and appraisals of real estate properties within Warren County.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate property valuations, compliance with assessment regulations, and providing expert guidance to property owners.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Assessment and Appraisal:*
* Conduct thorough assessments and appraisals of real estate properties in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
* Analyze property data, market trends, and sales transactions to determine fair and accurate valuations.
* Utilize appraisal methodologies and techniques to assess property values.
*Customer Service:*
* Provide expert advice and information to property owners regarding assessment processes, appeals, and valuation methods.
* Represent the PVA and defend property values at appeals boards.
* Conduct conferences with taxpayers regarding their property values.
* Address inquiries and concerns related to property assessments in a professional and courteous manner.
*Data Analysis and Documentation:*
* Collect, analyze, and verify relevant information to support accurate property valuations.
* Maintain detailed records of property assessments, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
* Collaborate with other assessors and deputies to update and verify property information.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.
g.
, Real Estate, Finance, Business, Math, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
* A minimum of 1 year of experience as an assessor, appraiser, or in a related role.
* In-depth knowledge of appraisal methodologies and property valuation practices.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using appraisal software and other relevant tools.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in assessing and documenting property information.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,875.
