Pitbull/Coonhound Mix (Portland)

This is Bud.
He is a 3 year old pitbull/coonhound mix so we were told.
He does have the coondog bark.
He is neutered, up to date on all shots, and microchipped.
We adopted him from a shelter.
We’ve had him in our home for over a month to try and make things work, but unfortunately he is not a good fit for us.
We were told he was abandoned as a puppy and lived on a chain outside for 3 years before being surrendered to the shelter.
The only contact he really had was the gentleman feeding and watering him, but was told he was a very old man and was too weak to properly train him and finally surrendered him.
Needs an experienced trainer.
He is sweet as can be, but needs to be around older kids as he is a jumper and way too hyper to be around younger kids.
Though he has never knocked a younger one down or attempted to jump on the younger one, anything can happen with hyper dogs.
We have had him around other dogs.
He did well with our younger 7 month old puppy that is smaller than him.
He did not like our 2 year old male who was bigger than him.
Not sure if he doesn’t like all male dogs in general.
He could just not like dogs bigger than him.
But keep that in mind when messaging about him.
He is not house broken.
That should be a given.
He lived on a chain outside for 3 years.
We have been trying to work with him on it but it’s been a slow process.
