This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with our client, hiring immediately!
Summary of position:
The Driver will pick up and deliver manufactured products, materials and supplies between company locations, customers and vendors.
Job Requirements:
• Prior experience driving vehicles ranging from pick-up size to 26 foot stake bed
• Conduct first-use inspection of company equipment including forklifts and trucks
• Check with supervisor, message box and/or customer service for schedule of deliveries and pick ups to be made each day
• Coordinate with packaging to ensure deliveries are ready with appropriate paperwork
• Coordinate with customer service to receive necessary paperwork; check for any specific instructions
• Coordinate loading vehicle for safety and efficient unloading keeping multiple destinations in mind
• Conduct deliveries according to instructions, obtaining signatures as necessary
• Check all paperwork on items picked up, check for damage and make appropriate notes
• Return to office and submit all paperwork to appropriate areas- usually customer service
Qualifications:
• Must have clean verifiable driving record which allows coverage under company insurance policy
• Minimum three years' experience driving
• Must have ability to operate single axel trucks in safe and responsible manner
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Good time manager, ability to access traffic congestion and time commitment to customer for delivery/pick up
• Must be able to review paperwork to ensure paper work matches product
• Mechanical aptitude (when not driving, assist in shop)
• Must have proficient knowledge of safety equipment
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds; be willing to work in all weather conditions
• Must be committed to all safety requirements
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
